Time to move on so we headed to Govenors Harbour, another short sail with genoa and mizzen. We anchored and spent a couple of days here, went ashore a few times for a walk about, although Eleuthera’s anchorage and its water are beautiful the island itself needs some TLC the roads are in a poor state - well there is one main road the Queens Highway which runs the length of the inland and some short side roads, generally the island is dirty with rubbish along the road side, house bins overflowing and many properties in a terrible state of disrepair. There are many lovely houses too.
