Well we have been anchored near Plymouth since Tuesday – we arrived and anchored in Cawsand where our friends Sally and Geoff had already arrived from Falmouth and anchored – it was great to catch up and have the customary drinks and food on their yacht, Geoff did a sterling job and mended our outboard for us as well. We anchored with them for 3 nights sailing the dingy and having a social time until they left for France and we upped anchor and moved to a Barn Pool a bay opposite Drake's island – our last night at Cawsand was very uncomfortable – rolling with the swell from the south westerly wind all night.

We are hoping to see the flat we bought here – but can't until Wednesday – which is a shame as Wednesday looks like its the day we should head off over the Bay of Biscay. We were planning to go all the way round Cape Finisterre to Bayona but it looks like we may settle for the North coast not sure yet as the forecast keeps changing. We have a list of things we need to do and buy before we head off so will go into a marina for a night – fill up with water and fuel etc.
