We met up with  friends Gill, Kevin and Liam and had a great afternoon with them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Beaufort is another pretty town with old wooden buildings and lots of history, the wreck of Blackbeard's ship the Queen Anne’s Revenge is near the entrance to the harbour. We visited the maritime museum and wandered around the town.

In the evening we went out with other cruisers to see a local band play at a bar, a late night and great fun.

From here we are going north along the intercoastal waterway for a while to avoid Cape Hatteras and the bad weather heading this way.
