We decided to leave last night after a few hours rest and head on East while the wind wasn't too strong, it was another moon lit night with the wind out of the east as usual so we tacked all night staying close enough to the shore to hope for a little north in the wind direction and far enough off shore to avoid the fishing floats. We made fair progress but by daylight we still had over 20miles to go so gave up sailing and motored to get in before the wind picked up too much.
We have picked up a mooring ball at the marina here, it's Independence Day for the DR so it's busy and noisy, the locals like loud music and fast boats not understanding the need for either volume or throttle control.
