We left Marathon early and had to motor for the first half of the trip with the help of the gulf stream when we reached it, once we were round the corner and headed north not only did we have strong current but we had wind and were sailing with only mizzen and genoa we hit 11knot and so we reefed the genoa then got rid of the mizzen completely to slow us down to do less than 8 knots and arrive in day light. We arrived nice and early and were soon anchored near Mora - Monika and Ralph a German boat we know. Later Incentive and Sea Ya arrived as well. Monika and Ralph are heading for Bermuda and back to Europe so it was good to catch up with them before they left.
