We have had a great time in St Lucia, we didn't stop at the Pitons on the
way here as we were having a great sail so kept going to Rodney bay and have
been anchored in the bay. We have had a relaxed time here sailing the
dinghy, snorkelling, sorting a few bits on the boat out, visiting Castries and
socialising.

We have met up with quite a few people we know already including Patrick
and Amanda from Egret who have been here waiting for a new Rudder since arriving at the end of December having
lost the rudder from their boat a few days after they left the Cape Verde
Islands and did a great job steering with drogues for the rest of their
crossing.
We have also made new friends and spent a fair bit of time talking to
people about where to spend the hurricane season as we have to be some where
safe from the beginning of June to the end of November and are deciding whether
to go south or north, at the moment we think we are going to go north to
America, but we change our minds so will wait and see.
Every Friday there is a “jump up” near by at Gros Islet where the town
turns into a big street party.
Even the local dogs are polite and wait patiently
to be given for bits of food
