With the wind becoming more Southerly it's time to move on, we upped anchor early and were soon sailing with Mizzen and Genoa up towards Nassau, Craig and Karene on Il Sogno left Georgetown yesterday, sailed up the outside of the islands overnight and were only about 5 miles away when we left, they decided to keep going and follow us up to Rose Island 🀩. We anchored early afternoon and were a bit dismayed to see lots of small local boats anchored further along the island with lots of people, a few gazebos - one housing a DJ, on the shore playing rather loud rap music, the party was in full swing! Craig and Karene came over for supper and luckily for us there was a short sharp burst of rain, the music stopped and the boats all left before we had finished eating and we were able to hear each other talking at last 🀣!
Il Sogno anchored behind us with small trip boats anchored near the reef to the east of the anchorage.

The following day Craig and Karene left to head to USA while we stayed, I wanted to snorkel on the reef - by the time I got round to it there were loads of trip boats so Steve took me over in dinghy and I snorkelled the southern reef which didn't have any tourists.
This time I took my camera, there were quite a few fish but they weren’t very photogenic 🀣 I did however get a good video of a ray as it majestically swam over the reef.
After snorkelling we finished cleaning the underwater hull, probably the last time we will get a chance before we head up to Deltaville to be lifted for the hurricane season.
