Today is the USA election day 😬, we obviously have no idea who will win but there may be difficult times ahead and a fairly divided country. Most people we know are Harris supporters but Trump seems to have a big following, we have probably seen far more Trump banners in peoples gardens than Harris!
So we left Fort Monroe with Honey Ryder for Norfolk and had a trouble free passage, we saw a surprising number of dolphins including quite a few mums with young which is always lovely.
Norfolk is home to a large US navy fleet and we passed numerous ships.
and we are back in the land of working barges.

Once anchored we launched the dinghy and headed over to visit Greta and Gary the Ocean Cruising club port Officers for Norfolk - we had been going to moor on their dock on Saturday when we first left Fort Monroe but hadn’t today as we were moving on in the morning but we wanted to visit, say hello and pick up a new OCC flag as ours has shredded its yellow triangle before I sewed a new one on - the blue is however rather faded and I am sure it won’t be long before we want to fly a nice bright new one!
