We have spent nearly a week in Las Palmas and had fun catching up with some other boats we haven't seen for a while as well as Thea and Henk on Romlea, Las Palmas was however disappointing for me it was very dirty – lots of dead cockroaches on the pavements etc and there were fewer boats at anchor (which was also dirty) most of which seemed to be permanently there. We did some provisioning and decided it was time to move on – we have Stephen joining us again on 26th, he is flying to Tenerife and so we are heading to south of  Gran Canaria for a few days before heading to Tenerife, we will probably go on to La Gomera and Stephen will join us there. Plan is to set off for Barbados on 28th December if the weather is behaving.
We left Las Palmas in a short sharp rain burst and headed south we didn't manage to sail the whole way and the wind and swell seemed to follow us around. the weather did improve on route and it warmed up – it had been a bit chilly in Las Palmas. We decided to anchor in a bay with Cement work factory at one end – the rest of the bay was better scenery and had a pleasant evening in sunshine.
