Well we have had a quiet 24 hours making steady but slow progress in the right direction, the high light of the night was a ship which passed 4 miles ahead of us – the first vessel we have seen since the day we left Mindelo. Today the sun is out and we have force 4 but with wind directly behind just cruising chute and mizzen again.

One good thing about being at sea for Christmas is we didn't over indulge but did have a good Christmas dinner sitting in T shirts & paper hats in the cockpit, which wouldn’t have been possible if it was rough so the light wind was a blessing.
