It didn't take much for us to decide to head for Mustique and not to head further south as had been our initial plan, with north easterly wind blowing we tacked our way to Mustique, we had not planned to stop here because you have to pick up a mooring ball at a cost of EC$200 = £52 which allows you to stay for 3 nights but we wanted to catch up with Louanne and fancied going to a night at the Blues festival.
Mustique is a famous private island – it was sold off in 1958 for £45,000 to Colin Tennant who began to develop the island, as a wedding present he gave a plot of land to Princess Margaret and Mustique became a hide away for the rich and famous. It is now owned by a private limited company of the homeowners.
