41:11.53N 71:34.72W After a foggy start to the day we sailed to Block Island, it was slow going to at first but the wind picked up and we had a good sunny sail, we are currently anchored in an old salt pond which has a channel dredge to the sea, its crowded which it unusual as its a large anchorage where there is always meant to be loads of space, except we find in the first week of August when Rhode Island is the only State to celebrate VOJ day (Victory over Japan) and the place goes crazy!
