We arrived here 2 days ago after a very disappointing sail from Aveiro, we had waited 12 days for the wind which didn’t turn out to be as good as it was meant to be and the waves just made us roll! Steve managed to catch a plastic bag on the way - not very tasty and not like our new Dutch friends who set off for Madeira at the same time and caught a tuna after 2 hours! Its been windy since we got here but still warm. We are planning to be here for a few days then head off either further south or to Madeira depending on the forecast. Drinks with Paul and Catherine tonight as they are going off to catch up with some family and so we will go separate ways for a while. There a lots of boats here all heading to the Caribbean so meeting new people every day.
