A crossing with a few problems that began when we tried to leave Antigua on
the 9th May, the stitching that holds the webbing at the head of the genoa gave
way!
going back to Falmouth Harbour for repairs
In North sails Antigua for repairs, torn luff bolt rope.
repaired and going back up.
Windrose the Dutch 11m single handed boat we passed on Day 8, we often
wonder how it’s getting on!
Enjoying a gentle sail under cruising chute and mizzen.
Then came the fouled propeller!
Getting ready to cut it off, I could just have held my breath and cut it
away but too scared to try that!
At least it was calm
Job done, the bag hooked on the side of Innamorata.
And a few days later it was Steve's turn to sort out a problem.
Really not fun at all, I got the easy job!
On the way we have seen hundreds of these Portuguese man of war jelly fish
over about 2000 miles of the Atlantic, not sure where they are heading as they
sail across the ocean,
and had many encounters with dolphins.
Even got to see a sperm whale but sadly no photo, we might treat ourselves
to a whale watching tour while
here! |
