We are leaving tomorrow with a few other boats so we will have company for a little while and we are going to keep in touch via Sat phones every day. Mindelo is very different from Palmeria though the harbour here has sunken boats as well!

Its a very secure anchorage, there are 20 or so yachts anchored

One thing we wont miss is the red dust
All our ropes were white with coloured flecks!

We have had a good time here, met new people and seen a different way of life but we definitely want to move on now, partly due to the lack of food in the shops and how expensive everything is – you buy a few fresh vegetables (and I mean a few) and costs the equivalent of £10!

While we were here The Cape Verdes most famous person, a singer called Cesiaria Evora died, today has been deemed a national holiday for her funeral so we were unable to get our passports stamped, exit documents and ships papers to leave early tomorrow.
