When we set off it was overcast and grey, we were soon sailing in the Neuse river / Pamlico sound, going along nicely when the inevitable rain came accompanied by a squall of 20+ knots of wind making very choppy short seas which gave us a lot of water on the deck! Once the wind reduced the waves eased and we had a much nicer sail avoiding the many crab pot markers which are everywhere! By 5 we were looking for a spot to anchor and were near Belhaven - a town we haven’t visited before and thought it may be a nice place to stop - bonus there’s phone reception here as well so we have anchored for the night.

On another note - our blog provider has changed the website without contacting us at all to inform us what is going on 🤔- it seems they want to charge £10 a month and I can no longer sign in to edit anything like I could! Also some photos seem to be on their side in some posts - no doubt because I am not paying for the blog🤪.
