After writing the blog this morning the wind picked up and we had a great sail, we were going so well we spent the last few hours trying to slow down, so as not to  arrive with the tide still going out, we ended up sailing at 5 knots under staysail alone as the wind increased to foil our attempt to go slow! Consequently we arrived before slack water and had a bit of a bumpy ride into the harbour. We have anchored in the small crowded anchorage just by the town and tomorrow we plan to meet up with friends from my days at great Ormond Street Hospital who are driving from their home 3 hours away in Raleigh to see us, it seems we have friends in every port!
