We set off early and motored with Falkor our past Start Point where the wind picked up to take us south, there were lots of dolphins feeding in the coastal waters and we had a seal or as we liked to think Wally the Walrus surface briefly a few meters in front of the boat, we didn’t see its face but it seemed rather big to be a seal? Soon we were having a cracking sail towards Ouessant across the rather busy Channel, we timed the shipping routes perfectly managing to slip through fairly easily when there weren't too many vessels around with only a couple passing relatively close. We made Ouessant in great time and had the tide with us as we sailed into the Bay of Biscay making a fast first 24 hours passage, covering just over 150 miles with Falkor was sailing close by.
