                | 38:19.86N 76:27.52W We set off early from Oxford (which incidentally is
only a few miles from Cambridge) with north-westerly winds and had a great but
chilly sail. With the wind behind us as we sailed down the Chesapeake bay we tried our
telescopic pole for the first time poling out the genoa with great success, we
didn't have it fully extended but it made a great difference, we are very
pleased with it and know it will make down wind sailing a lot faster and less
frustrating. There were a lot of sailboats heading south today – everyone thinks
it’s time to move to warmer waters but with southerly winds forecast for the
next few days we will stay here. |
