We never checked out of the USVI'S so decided that we might as well shoot back and do it now, we had a great sail to the south coast of St Johns and went into part of the coral reef national monument area, there are day use mooring balls and we picked on up, for some reason there were no other boats on any of the moorings in hurricane hole so we had the place to ourselves. The land is quite steep to the waters edge where there are mangroves which made for good snorkeling and a very different marine environment with different coral, sponges and fish.
As the mooring are day use only we went to the nearby Coral Harbour to anchor for the night.
