Yet another early start over to Culebra, where  we picked up a free mooring in Bahia Melones and were soon snorkelling on the reef. We had a great encounter with a spotted eagle ray who was so intent on finding its lunch, rummaging in the sand with its head, that it didn't mind us floating above it at all, whether it found any food though I don't know. The reef was surprisingly good with lots of coral, colourful sea fans, the usual reef fish and a couple of ones we hadn't seen before.
We are in an area where lots of boats have been spotting humpbacked whales so fingers crossed.
