We flew home with Iberia to Madrid November 24. Mercedes headed to La Coruna to be with her parents over christmas and I headed to Sweden to meet the children.

After a week it was time to fly to London where a taxi drove me to Oxford for an overnight stay.

The next evening I was brought to Brize Norton RAF base where I met up with the anaestethist and his wife for a long assignment on the Falkland Islands.

After some delays we were brought onboard a RAF airtanker for a 20hr flight over Ascension Island (for refuel) further to the Falklands where we landed at the RAF base,Mount Pleasant.

A taxi brought us to Port Stanley (the capital) where we had some days to adapt, see the hospital, go through routines and equipment.
