Værmeldingen for idag var at det skulle være bare laber bris fra sydvest tidlig på dagen, økende utover. Da ble det en tidlig start på oss kl. 7 for å komme noen mil langs kysten før det blåser opp igjen. Etter en litt overskyet start på en kald dag, kom sola fram etter et par timer og vi fikk en strålende motor-tur innom Lyngør og Arendal på vei ned mot Lillesand. Det er svært få båter ute nå og hyttene er for det meste forlatt for sommeren.

 

Kort avstand utenfor lillesand ligger Auesøya der en venn, Georg, fra Årdal har hytta sammen med andre familiemedlemmer. Vi har lånt en fortøyningsbøye i nabo-bukta og drar nå inn på land for å treffe Georg og de andre som er på hytta. Dagens bilde - småhus ved Lyngør.

 

The weather forecast for today was for moderate winds at first, but increasing later. We made an early start in order to get some miles done before the wind picks up again. After a cloudy and cold start to the day the clouds disappeared behind us and we had a lovely day motoring through the channels and islands past the picturesque Lyngør, then past Arendal and on to the Lillesand area. There are very few boats out despite the good weather and most of the summer houses seem deserted.

 

We are moored up a short distance outside Lillesand at an island called Auesøya where a friend of ours from our home village of Årdal has his summer house together with other family members. We have borrowed a mooring in the neighbouring bay and are now going ashore to meet Georg and the others at the cabin. Today's picture - houses in the sound at Lyngør.
