Flott seilas til den neste ria idag - seilte hele veien i sterk sol - vi fikk kanskje litt mye sol! Denne ria ligner mer på Sørlandet eller svenskekysten - mye mer skjær og småholmer, og flere motorbåter. Det er tydelig at vi nå har kommet til et område der spanjolene tar sine ferier. Her er det også mye bebyggelse, både gamle byer og nye steder som ser ut til å være ferieleiligheter og hotell. Vi ligger for anker utenfor en liten havn som vi valgte kun fordi det er bra holdebunn og det er beskyttet fra den nordlige vinden. Vi skal inn til selve byen Vilagarcia imorgen. Dagen har stort sett gått til navigering og å seile gjennom en del trange passasjer mellom skjær - både synlige og usynlige. Dagens bilde viser en holme med fyr på ved innseiling til denne ria - Rai de Arosa. Ligner veldig på svenskekysten eller utenfor Larvik.

 

A super sail today in a steadily freshening north westerly, with a very hot sun which I feel we got a little too much of! This Ria - Ria de Arosa - is again different to the one we left this morning, being more like the Swedish west coast, or the Larvik area in Norway. There are also a lot more holiday homes and motor boats here, but despite this we have found a place to anchor up outside a little harbour with just one other boat. Not that we picked the most attractive place - we just wanted a safe place for the night near to Vilagarcia - which we will visit tomorrow. The bay is nice and shallow with a mud bottom which should give us good holding for the night. The day has just gone on the tasks of navigation and admiring the beautiful coastline and all the skerries and islands. Today's picture shows a small island with a lighthouse at the entrance of the ria - rather reminiscent of Sweden or parts of Norway.
