"Dream Catcher" arrived just after sundown yesterday having sailed non-stop from Tobago - a trip of 24 hours. It was good to get together with Fred and Anne Grethe again. We went out to Scuttlebutts restaurant together with Anne and Raymond  ("Helmax"), Åge ("Bris") and Erik ("Harry Z"). The overnight sail was clearly taking its toll on Fred who couldn't keep his eyes open at the end of the evening. He couldn't even have a lie in this morning as they were booked for the travel lift at nine thirty - so now we are three Norwegian boats on the hard standing here.

Today started with heavy rain - not exactly what one wants when hoping to put on anti fouling. As usual it didn't last and the sun soon dried up the rain. One of the casual workers here was due to turn up to help with the anti fouling, and indeed turned up as the rain stopped. We agreed US$10 per hour, though he then tried to renegotiate this to a fixed price - which I was not interested in. I shall give him a bit extra though as he had worked hard and used gloves and a mask all the time - I appreciate a good attitude to safety, health and environment in my work and in those who work for me. Two coats went well and we even managed to move all the stands holding the boat up so as to get to those otherwise inaccessible spots. The other routine jobs of greasing the propeller and axle and gland are all done - with the assistance of Raymond who had bought a grease gun in order to do the same job on his boat.

Now, after a hard day's work, we are going out for dinner to "The Edge" - a very nice restarant where we have eaten once before. Today's pictures: from dinner at Scuttlebuts and Quincy working on the boat.
