Vi traff mannskapet vårt i går kveld - Thorstein og Reidar samt deres koner Trude og Maria. Vi skal ute med dem igjen ikveld.

 

Vi ligger fortsatt for anker her i havnen - selv om en del båter har reist i dag er det kun plasser utenpå andre båter som er ledig - og vi ligger like bra for anker. Jeg har iallfall fått sjekket inn med myndighetene og undersøkt mulighet for havneplass. vi har ryddet plass til mannskapet og vasket bak komfyren - som er litt av en prosess. Thorstein kom ut til Nano og hjalp meg med å skrubbe bunnen - som var blitt litt slimete siden vi fikk på nytt bunnstoff på St. Lucia. Sjøen holdte bare 19C - vel litt kaldt for oss som er vant til 28 i Karibia. Jeg hadde våtdrakt på meg med det hadde ikke Thorstein - som fikk kulda i seg etterhvert. Vi fikk skrubbet hele bunnen som gjør at vår båtfart er sikkert 0,01 knop bedre nå pga. mindre motstand. Dagens bilde fra Ponta Delgada.

 

We met up with our crew yesterday - Reidar and Thorstein and their wives Trude and Maria. We are going out with them again this evening.

 

We are still at anchor in the harbour, even though several boats left today. There is now room in the harbour, but only rafted up outside other boats, so we will wait here at anchor until we need to get in to provision and fill the tanks. I have at least checked in with the authorities - four offices but fortunately all in the same building. We have done a fair bit of cleaning and organization on board in preparation for the crew. Thorstein came out to Nano and helped with scrubbing the anti-fouling. The sea was only 19C - a bit cold for us who are more used to 28! I did at least have a wet suit on, but Thorstein ended up getting a bit cold. However, the hull is now scrubbed and we should do at least 0.01knot better speed - was it worth it?
