We have had another day of looking after the boat - finally the entire cockpit and bathing platform are clean and waxed! Rønnaug defrosted and cleaned the fridge and made lunch before she and Anne Grethe went on a shopping trip to Playa Blanca, but the shop owners didn't get too much to write home about. Another heavy project today was to take off our anchor and try Dream Catcher's spare 25kg "Delta" anchor - which Fred wants to sell after upgrading to a 40kg version. Unfortunately this didn't fit at all without making some major changes to our boat. While we were in the swing of things we tried his 20kg "Bruce" which actually fitted quite well, but was not for sale. We know now however that we will have to try out any anchor we do finally buy before parting with the money, and that the Bruce anchor is probably the best bet to fit. We want a 25kg really as a bit of extra security - we will after all be anchoring a lot in the Caribbean. Our 15kg CQR-copy is just a little on the light side for this size of boat.

Our 24 hour period of internet access should have run out yesterday evening, but was still working most of today, so we have spent some time sending E-mails to friends. Today's picture was taken on our drive round the island, showing a long straight road across one of the huge lava fields.
