The fair weather continued through yesterday and on into the night and we made reasonable speed in comfortable seas.  I developed a nasty stomach ache soon after I went off watch at 1800, and an hour later I was as sick as a dog.  The stomach ache persisted and I was sick five times over the next few hours, eventually managing to get a couple of hours’ sleep.  Steve stayed on watch until 0200 when I woke feeling slightly better and went up on deck to take over.  It must have been the bug that had upset Steve’s stomach a few nights ago, and it was very unpleasant.

Today dawned bright and sunny, with clear blue skies and much lighter winds.  We managed to keep sailing, though our speed dropped to 3 knots at times.  On the plus side, it was a lovely day and the sailing was no effort.
