Charlotte Amalie,St Thomas, USVI
Thursday 28th April 2011
Distance run: 14 nmiles
Yesterday started out grey and showery, so we were not going far. We took the rib over to Nimue for coffee, and when the weather improved a little after lunch we went ashore and followed the nature trail around the salt lake. In the evening we invited everyone over to S-F for drinks.
This morning we slipped the lines from the mooring buoy mid-morning and set off for St Thomas. It was another pleasant sail with a couple of interesting points when we passed through fairly narrow gaps between islands/rocks and had the current against both us and the wind. We arrived in Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the USVI's in time for lunch and dropped the anchor in a suitable spot.
