Distance run: 34 nmiles

What a beautiful day, and a cracking sail from Waya to Denarau, on the main island of Viti Levu.  With mainly clear, deep water the whole way and 12-15 knots of breeze, we creamed through the water, eating up the miles, and arrived at the fuel dock in Port Denarau by mid-afternoon.  An hour later we were fully fuelled up and had found a good spot in the anchorage just outside the entrance channel into the Port.

No sooner had we settled, than a dinghy arrived alongside, and there was Alan from ‘Tuatara’ to say ‘Hi’.  He and Jean had just dropped off some family members for Nadi airport, and like us they were now getting their boat ready to move on.  Over a quick beer, Alan gave us lots of info regarding laundry, showers, gas refills etc which was very useful, and he invited us to join him and Jean on a trip into Nadi tomorrow.  Looking forward to it.
