For the second day running the sun was shining and the wind gentle, so we decided to make the most of it and get together for lunch by the pool.  Rod & Brenda had already left to take Brenda’s sister back to the main island where she was getting the plane back to New Zealand, so it was just the six of us.  Rod & Mary were looking very relaxed on their sun loungers on the beach by the time we arrived, so we joined them for a while before finding a table in the poolside restaurant.

Lunch was a very relaxed affair, and we then returned to the beach to relax even further.  One or two of the more energetic of us decided to have a dip in the pool, but mainly the day was about just chilling out and soaking up some rays.  Mary decided the sunlounger wasn’t comfortable enough for a proper kip, so they headed back to the boat.  As the afternoon shadows grew longer, we all developed a thirst, and the guys went to the bar for cocktails.  The waitress came back a few minutes later with mudslides and a strawberry daiquiri, all of which slid down very well indeed.  The daiquiri was for me, but after trying some of Steve’s mudslide, I think I might have one of those next time...

It was good to do this holiday stuff for a day, but I don’t think I could spend a whole week at it.  Then again, maybe I could...
