We made landfall in La Coruna as estimated Monday afternoon around 16.00 hrs. Still surrounded by freequent fogpatches we had a window of reasonable visibility while approaching La Coruna port.
Currently tied up in Marina Real this is the more central of the two major marinas in the area and with an attractive monthly pricing it was an obvious choice. The alternative is the recently built Marina Coruna which is bigger and modern allthough further away from town. The Marina Real clubhouse in the picture is well located and a conservative center for sailing activity in the area.
It´s time to go home for midsummer festivities and upon return in July the plan is to cross the Bay of Biscay and make landfall in Brest/Brittany. Hopefully the Bay of Biscay will not stand up to it´s bad reputation.....
