The winds were originally forecast for a few days over the weekend. Today (Wednesday) is day 5 of the mistral winds - they are still blowing 30-35kn gusting into the 40’s. It is fair to say the cats are totally bored now and even Koshka is reaching the limit of how much he can sleep. The good news is that the wind does seem to drop overnight, so at least we are getting a good nights sleep, although one night we all woke up as the wind had totally stopped and it was way too quiet!!

To relieve the boredom we visited the local cemetery today. It is apparently a tourist attraction and it certainly was very interesting as you can see from the pictures.

Some individual plaques were ornate…                                                    …others were grouped together – these were all military related

…and others were just in long streets

Some people have erected very elaborate family mausoleums
