Sunday morning we set sail for Cascais. It was an uneventful trip, motoring in the morning and sailing in the afternoon when the wind picked up.

We arrived in Cascais which is a massive marina with 1000+ boats. We were berthed the opposite end to Mistletoe which means a 10 minute walk to visit them. Guess what – we were berthed right next to the catamaran with all the children on board (again!). The kids now think we are following them all the way to the Caribbean.

We were invited on board to join them for a quiet evening meal – well as quiet as you can with 6 excited children glad to see our cats again. Anne loved the home made butternut squash soup.

Their next stop is Gibraltar – Stephen mentioned they could get a monkey there but was told to shut up as they already need to get a cat now because of us. They have decided to call it Dragon after our boat.

On Monday we need to avoid the local police and have a boat cleaning and maintenance day. Later in the week we will venture into Lisbon which is a 40 minute train ride from Cascais.

We’ve just realised we have moved from 52 degrees north to 38 degrees north – hence the weather is so good!
