Wednesday: After a bit of a lie-in we got up and started on more jobs round the boat. Anne made another fly screen for the small hatch over the forward heads. Stephen finished off the forward heads doing all the fiddly little finishing touch jobs. We also played with the anchor windlass to try to determine why the chain counter is not giving correct readings. This problem may take some time to fix.

In the evening Tom, Jude and Becky came over. We went out for a pizza and then took them all to the local fun fair. After lasts nights visit concluded it was for younger children, we couldn’t resist going again with a younger child! Becky had a brilliant time – we are not sure about Tom as he was dragged on to the “big ride”.

Thursday: Anne fully cleaned the forward heads – the shower and toilet and now ready to use (Stephen is applying a few more coats of varnish but that is the very last bit before we start using them). We then changed the pipes for the aft head shower and fitted a new bilge pump. After more cleaning we headed for the showers.

We both decided we didn’t fancy cooking so we went to the pizza restaurant for a take away. After a bottle of wine and a pizza we headed to bed happy!!

Friday: How did we get to Friday without blogging?!!!! We were up early and off into town to go shopping. We had a good wander round town and stocked up at the market and supermarket, bought some flip flops for Stephen and a new dress for Anne (Stephen’s flip flops cost more by the way). We dragged our shopping trolley and rucksack back to the boat at about 2pm. After putting everything away we relaxed in the afternoon. One thing we did notice today was how much cooler it was – it was only 28^OC!!!! We think we are possibly ready to maybe move on now.

We have found out (thanks to Tom, Jude & Beccy) that it’s the “Bous a la mar” this weekend and next week. How can we leave when this is going on?!! We’ll tell you more in the next blog when we find out what it’s all about. I guess we won’t be leaving soon!
