38:41.606N 9:24.975W On Tuesday morning we did the washing and visited the local
chandleries. Stephen only spent what Anne approved – but it was still
lots. In the afternoon Stephen started playing with the outboard. We’ve
not got it going yet. Anne was splicing the new rope on the fenders and even whipping
our warps (not that sort of whipping!). In the late afternoon I thought the kids next door were
having another water fight. However they weren’t on board. Then I
realised the whole marina was getting wet. We quickly realised the water was
falling from the sky. We took out our handy weather book and realised we were experiencing
a rare phenomenon called “rain”. It was so strange, and yet such a
distant familiar memory. In the evening we had a quiet night in. |
