Today was a perfect day in Lagos, sun and blue skies. This is what our friends had come to see!

In the morning we dragged them around the local market as we needed to stock up on vegetables for the week. Fortunately they resisted the temptation to buy live chickens and rabbits and bring them back for “the cats to play with”. We then went for a walk around town exploring and visited the local fort by the harbor entrance. We also selected our restaurant for the evening.

We had lunch on the boat – tuna sandwiches. Yoyo enjoyed heaps of Tuna and we all had bread with a hint of tuna.

In the afternoon we went to the beach. Fortunately one of the beach bars was still open so we managed to enjoy a beer looking over the beech on a sunny day. Very relaxing.

In the evening we visited a local restaurant that is Michelin recommended. It was good (not excellent but still good). Anne had Salmon in Champagne sauce and I had Halibut. Our friends had meat.
