Sunday was a wet miserable day – it rained all day and we had two bored humans and two bored cats aboard. The only excitement was watching the men’s rowing races and hearing them shout. The humans read some of the sailing articles they pulled out of sailing magazines before leaving the UK and the cats did what they do best – sleep.

On Monday it only rained for part of the day. We only had two slightly bored humans and two slightly bored cats. The humans did a few jobs around the boat including starting to make some hatch covers in anticipation of the heat.

The only excitement came at the end of the day. We think the local ferry had the 1st mate manoeuvring today in the winds. We are not sure where he was trying to turn around but we do know he got awfully close to us – and we were moored up. On the plus side we had two other boats to “cushion” the blow if he got any closer. The one thing we do know is we don’t want to get this close when we are out sailing!!
