From Sunday to Tuesday it rained and rained. We managed a quick trip out for shopping and otherwise we watched DVDs – we managed to watch a whole season of 24 with Richard & Karen on Pyxis.

On Wednesday the weather improved (no rain and blue skies but still quite chilly). The dolphins came to visit – well eat all the fish in the marina.

We managed to install 4 new lights in our aft cabin (our bedroom) and one over the chart table. We managed to find recessed lights with a depth of about 15mm as we have very little room behind the headlining in the bedroom. Naturally the one light over the chart table took twice as long as installing all 4 lights in the aft cabin. Stephen also installed a new 230v double socket in the saloon so we have somewhere to plug in all these heaters for the cats without using extension cables.

We also aired the mattresses (the cats both found the wool heated blanket and sat on it for the day) and aired and sorted out Anne’s sewing cupboard. As the weather improved Anne started on the backlog of washing. We decided the machine in the marina was getting the clothes more dirty than when we started, hence we dusted off our portable washing machine and used it. The only problem is that it is much more work.

We then cleaned the boat in preparation for our friends who are visiting this weekend from the UK.

Koshka and Yoyo love the heated blanket even when its not on!
