Today was the big day. The engineer came to fit the new seals on the gear box and refit the alternator. 4 seals were correct and were fitted, however 2 were the wrong size. The alternator adjustment didn’t work – the belts are still touching the coolant hose. We’ll repeat the whole episode tomorrow and hopefully have more luck.

This afternoon it rained – so Stephen went for a walk to get more alternator belts. Anne started putting the corrections into the pilot books.

This evening we met up with Rafki for a few drinks and to catch up on their adventures over the last few months. Rafiki have been down in the Canaries and have just arrived in Gib en-route to the Med. Rafiki now have their cat on board. After meeting Koshka & Yoyo in Cascais we think they were inspired to move their cat, Lily, onboard. Lily appears to have settled in very well, and definitely owns their boat.
