Today the weather was back to normal – bright and sunny!

After several aborted attempts over he last few months, Pyxis finally proved they can leave the Velcro port and sailed away from Lagos. We will meet up with them again soon. Richard the Duck man left some chicken for Koshka and Yoyo as a going away present and some treats for us as well! I think Yoyo wants to stow away on Pyxis as they feed her so well.

Meanwhile we are both working hard on the boat. Anne had the sewing machine in overdrive and completed all the curtains (a real achievement) and has made the covers for the cockpit cushions. Stephen now needs to fit some track on a few windows so Anne can hang the last few curtains.

Stephen fitted a new tap in the aft heads and applied Vaseline to all the window seals. It’s important the rubber does not dry out and become brittle and hence start to leak. He also did some washing, cleaned the boat ready for our friends who are visiting this weekend, went shopping and picked up the hire car.

Koshka and Yoyo slept, played, ran around and generally had a brilliant time in the sunshine.

This evening we went out for a meal with our sailing instructor Tom from the UK and his wife. A fine large Sea Bass was consumed and spare bits bought home for Koshka and Yoyo.
