Time for a change so we decided we would spend the last few days of our break in Astrous as the water is very nice and we have a favourite local restaurant. Yes we have to pay for the quay and yes the port policeman likes to stamp us in and out but it has a castle, shops, restaurants and a few coffee and beer stops.
The morning started with a swim before breakfast in the beautiful sunshine. We were soon ready for our journey to Astrous but the Quick anchor remote had other ideas and packed up working. Luckily we have a spare battery remote!!! Another item to buy in the winter.
As we edged out of the channel the wind wasn’t looking too good for Astrous but we decided to give it a mile or two as the forecast said. The white water started to disappear and although we would rather not motor and have the sails do the work the wind did not change unfortunately until we got here. Can’t always rely on the forecast.
On our way we saw once only a few fish splashing and when we nearly hear a black fin several times. Not sure if it was a seal or a dolphin.
The sea temperature is 30 here and the harbour is quite full with locked parked boats but we found a space with water and electricity near by.
The afternoon breeze is nice and we will fine here for a few days.
