Great sail from Poros to Ermoni.
No one on the south quay so we made for the corner so we could put lines bow and side to give us extra lines with the strong winds predicted. That was a very wise move and proved to be needed when it blew in the afternoons.
Tricia and Clive joined us and we enjoyed an afternoon in the Millennium bar watching the world go by. We managed a couple of swims to cool ourselves and we ate in the restaurant next door owned by the same family.
The big excitement was the very lovely super yacht RACE came to join us on the quay with their passerelle by us. Owned by the Ferrari family it was beautiful which you could only imagine with their money and with two very expensive tenders to match. Mr. and Mrs Ferrari walked their dogs and their middle aged actress daughter spent her time looking at the views from the top deck which are lovely. Lots of the locals came to take photos of this super yacht on their quay. When they left a shackle was left on one of the lines one of them threw and first it hit one of the windows and then for good measure the paint work. We were waiting for a huge shout but it didn’t come. My captain would have been going mad by the second bang!!!
Saturday 8th July, 2023.
Shopping, meeting a new Polish couple next to us and generally swimming, walking and relaxing was the order of the day.
Clive and Tricia moved to the other side of the bay for a quiet night on anchor.
The 23 euros on the quay collected for the port authorities for two nights is well worth every penny when it’s blowing hard.
