6^th June, 2021 and 7^th June, 2021.

We decided to leave as the wind was favourable and head south to

Koufonissi island to anchor in the beautiful bay if possible.

We had wind with us from Naxos town down the side of Naxos and

once we hit the corner at Gatani Cape. The new wind came in and w

tramped across to Koufonissi taking the sails down just before

narrows and the harbour.  As the wind was blowing 15 plus we

anchored in the bay to consider going into the harbour once we had

lunch.  We left it a bit late and five catamarans came in one by one s

we stayed put for the night. 

We had the most amazing night’s sleep after a few hours worrying

about the yacht which had anchored in our back door.

The next day we went ashore for coffee and a chat with Brian and

Mari, Clive and Trisha before heading back to Ariel for lunch. Trish

and Clive decided to go as far as Donouissa to make the miles less t

Patmos the next day.  We decided to stay in the bay and enjoy the

beautiful view and be up early the next day to make the 55 plus mile

As the evening was so lovely we went for cocktails and watched the

sun go down.
