Up early after a peaceful night to go shopping to be ready for Jim’s three cousins who arrive today from Cornwall. On the way back we stopped at the port police office to ask if we could pull on the tourist boat quay to be able to pick up our relatives and leave once the ferry arrives.
The wind got up just as we got back to Ariel in the dinghy so it was a quick empty the bags and up with the anchor and move into the inner harbour. A little cross wind and with two gentlemen on the quay we were in position for our visitors. Two other chaps who seem to run the quay started pestering the port police officer regarding us being in the spot we were. After a few words from us he seemed to understand we had spoken to his office and left us alone.
The ferry was late but finally Chris, Angie and Nicki arrived ready for the fun to begin for their ten day stay.
As we felt under pressure to move as soon as possible we left the quay and headed out of the bay. The wind started to chirp you as we headed towards the gap and out into the bay towards Spetzes. The sails were up doing a splendid job and we were roaring along at 9.08 knots. As we neared Spetzes the wind started to drop but we managed to pull into the Porto Heli channel with just the genny. We anchored in our usual place outside the hotel covering a distance of 15 nautical miles.
Had a super meal in one of the local tavernas and a lovely nights sleep.
