Sunday 9th July, 2023.

Sunday turned out to be a windy day so with the wind forecast we decided we would be safer at Porto Heli only 12.7 miles away. With Porto Heli you have the choice of anchoring different parts of the big bay, going on the quay if there is space or paying to go in the marina which is quite busy with super yachts.
The first part after leaving the quay was hard as the wind was blowing straight at us. Jim had the genny up as soon as we turned towards the gap of the two islands which steadied us. Once through the gap it was another world and we lost the strong wind. From then on it was a gentle sail all the way to the Spetses channel. An old classic yacht tried to barge through us at the corner and we had to call for water and with that the silly old fool steered up. Lovely boat with no visible instruments.
Tricia and Clive got into the harbour first so we joined them near the hotel. Great for getting the washing done and a gentle swim and lunch.
For the next week or so we pottered with a few very interesting walks with Tricia and Clive and not to mention some very nice meals on board shared by us all.
Wednesday 12th July, 2023.
We went across to Zogeria bay on Spetses around 3 1/2 miles from Porto Heli. Lovely clear water and great for swimming. Jim decided it was safer to be back in Porto Heli as lots of super yachts were anchored around us. Tricia and Clive tucked their boat into a corner and stayed over night so they could do a couple of walks. We had a pleasant motor back into the bay and anchored on the far side in peace and quiet.
