Sunday 15th July, 2018.

After a lovely lunch and a very sad goodbye we had to leave to make our way to Thessaloniki in to fly home. We enjoyed seeing all the beaches along the coast and managed to sail for quite a few miles with the fishing line out.  When we near Ormaskannavista bay (we call boom boom bay) Jim was just about to take the line in when he felt a tug.  With Jim holding onto the rod and giving out orders of stop the boat, turn this way and all the time wandering if we did have a big one he managed to land his first tuna in ten years. Very exciting!!!!

With only two days until we flew home and no one to give it to we had to do the right thing and put him back in the sea after the photos were taken.  He swam away very happily after a couple of seconds of it looking a goner. Think he was just teasing us.

We had come 13.1 miles from the hotel and it was quite pleasant with caravans on the beach so we had dinner. The evening was still young we decided to sail on to 39:55.95N   23:44.18E Pallouri Bay about 4.65 miles further on where we anchored all alone in the bay around 8 p.m. before turning the corner to head up the coast. It was not the most peaceful of nights as local small boats seem to launch in the middle of the night and with a change of wind it blew into the bay.
