19th July, 2021.

We left Vathy around 10 a.m. and motored out into the bay and it was still. Once we turned the first corner by the fish farm and the little church the wind was head on. We enjoyed the journey as it gave us time to look at the houses which line the water’s edge. Some are so near the water we fear they must be near flooding in the winters.

No dolphins today but great to see lots of boats out going in all directions. Once we turned the last corner and could see the entrance to Poros the genoa came out and for about an hour we had the engine off. Once at the entrance the wind came at us again so the genoa had to go away and the engine was started.

Monday was on again plus two ferries were steaming our way quickly.

We motored up to Navy Bay and found a space although it is very busy but we had covered 15.6 miles and there was no going back in this wind.  By 6 o’clock every space on the big quay was gone and still more were coming to the party with no where to go.
