Wednesday 18th June, 2014.

The spinnaker came out of the bag again for the trip from Naxos to Mykonos but the wind was so fluty it had to be put away again as it died.   Just as we got to the harbour a very strong wind didn’t help with the anchoring and stern to on the wall especially when there are lots of charterers doing the same thing and not being in control of their boats.  It’s all good fun in paradise!

The boys hired a car and took us on a trip around this very pretty island.  The white and blue houses are all very well presented and we couldn’t believe the amount of small churches we saw.  The views are wonderful from any part of the island together with the very sandy beaches.   We explored 6 beaches and found the water to be very warm in them all.  Mykonos is famous for its gay and nudist beaches but we managed to avoid them.

We explored Mykonos town during the evening and enjoyed a very nice meal in one of the back street restaurants. A great place to people watch.
