It’s is Jim’s birthday celebrations day so we swam in the sea in the morning, had cold octopus for lunch with salad. Our friendly diesel chap, George, keeps telling Jim about the wonderful fresh octopus he has for his lunches so Jim asked him to get him some just for the two of us. Along came four kilo’s on Saturday and Jim was 50 euro’s poorer! After our tour around the island Jim had to cook the octopus. Tricia and Clive decided to give it a miss but Jim and I were enjoying the hot cooked octopus around 10.30 p.m. It is going to take quite a few lunches yet to finish the 4 kilos.
After read his book we went for afternoon ice-creams at the new parlour. Absolutely wonderful!
We managed to watch the end of the Murray final on TV and at the end all the ladies had tears in their eyes as they were so pleased he had a gold. Ben Ainsley getting a gold was just wonderful. We have managed to watch on taverna TV’s quite a selection of sports which has been fabulous.
In the evening we went to the Il Famila restaurant for fresh fish. Jim choose two different large fish which we shared with Tricia and Clive after starters which were the size of a main course.
The birthday boy had a wonderful day and enjoyed his phone calls from family and friends.
